PicPay Card asked for a Gamer’s Day post in Brazil, and the original brief called for a single static image. I saw an opportunity to create something more engaging and relevant to the gaming audience, so I proposed expanding the idea into an 8-bit animated video inspired by classic games. The concept brought the campaign message, “Dê Mais Pique pro Seu Game” (roughly, “Give Your Game More Energy”) to life in a format that connected more naturally with the target audience. This was the result.
The video follows a gamer who needs a new gaming chair for an upcoming tournament. After collecting his PicPay Card, he realizes he needs to increase his credit limit (one of the cards benefits) to make the purchase, triggering his first mission: cleaning his room.
As he completes the task, his credit limit increases. With the mission accomplished, the story introduces other PicPay benefits, including installment payments, cashback, and the ability to keep money earning in PicPay’s digital savings feature.
The final mission ends with the purchase of the new chair, giving the player, quite literally, more “pique” for his game.
