Mandelay Project reimagines the musical legacy of Kurt Weill and Bertolt Brecht through a contemporary sound infused with Brazilian and Latin American influences.
The visual identity was designed to reflect that collision of worlds: theatrical, unconventional, rhythmic, and full of character.
At its core, a custom geometric wordmark combines sharp angles with playful curves, creating a visual rhythm that echoes the band's musical experimentation. The symbol merges the ideas of a book and a map, representing storytelling and the search for imaginary places.
A vibrant palette of red, orange, and yellow contrasts with deep blue, bringing together the dramatic spirit of European avant-garde theatre and the energy of Latin American music.
The result is an expressive and adaptable visual language designed to live beyond the logo, across posters, performances, printed materials, and digital experiences.
